Ungrateful

Why do we tend to forget Allah after we turn to him as soon as we feel better. How ungrateful we are to our lord.

He gave you whatsoever you asked. If you try to count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Man is most unjust indeed, full of ingratitude.'

Really how would we feel if someone treated us the same way? Oh, I know, I've been there millions of times. The simplest thing I would say about that someone is : I hate him..he is not good enough for me... I'm definitely ditching him.

Well, Allah wouldn't feel the same about us, his door is open for us always.

Allah says in surah Az Zumar (53-63)

[53-61] (O Prophet,) say, "O My servants,70 who have wronged their own souls: Do not despair of Allah's mercy: surely Allah forgives all sins: He is the All-Forgiving, the All-Merciful.

71 Return to your Lord and submit to Him before the scourge overtakes you, and then you may get no help from anywhere. And follow the best aspect of the Book sent down by your Lord, before the scourge comes down upon you suddenly while you are unaware, lest afterwards someone should say,

"Alas for the negligence (in duty) I showed towards Allah! Indeed, I was among those who mocked." Or: "Would that Allah had shown me guidance so that I too would have been among the righteous!" Or, when he sees the torment: "Would that I could get another chance so that I also should be among the doers of good!" (And then he should get this answer:) "Why not! My Revelations did come to you; then you denied them, and showed arrogance, and you were among the disbelievers."

You will see that on the Day of Resurrection the faces of those who have invented falsehoods against Allah, will be blackened. Is not there in Hell enough room for the arrogant? On the contrary, those who have adopted righteousness here, Allah will rescue them because of their means of success. No evil shall touch them nor will they grieve.

A real treasure

Just give us your full attention.

Read the following verse:

"أَمَّن يُجِيبُ الْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ السُّوءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَإِلَٰهٌ مَّعَ اللَّهِ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ''

Surat An-Naml verse no. (62)

. (61) He who answers the constrained, when he calls unto Him, and removes the evil and appoints you to be successors in the earth. Is there a god with God? Little indeed do you remember. (62)

Within this verse we'll find a real treasure. We will if we take the time to think deeply and throughly.

Allah loves it so much when we turn to him.. He loves us so much, He's so sweet. He had promised to make it easy on us, we just have to raise our hands.

We are all in need of him, of his guidance. We are nothing without him.. indeed ..

So, let's do it..right now..

O Allah! You are my Rubb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon.

In times of sickness who do we turn to?

Surat al-An'aam verse no. 17

﴾ And if Allah touch you with affliction, there is none to take it off but He; and if He visit you with good, then He has power over all things )

Allah *Glory be to him* is telling us that he's our creator therefor we should seek his help first before anyone else. Before we call our doctor we should call him. He's the one to beg..no one shall take away our pain but him...so let's think of things the way we should have.

Seriously HOW OFTEN do we raise our hands to him? Do we know him *Glory be to him* well enough to think of him first?

(59) And your Lord says: "Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell - in humiliation!" (60) It is Allah Who has made the Night for you, that ye may rest therein, and the days as that which helps (you) to see. Verily Allah is full of Grace and Bounty to men: yet most men give no thanks. (61) Such is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, there is no god but He: Then how ye are deluded away from the Truth! (62)

Those whom Allah love they look at sickness from a completely different angle, they see it as a sign of mercy.

Allah forgives our sins and promises us if we showed patience that he will reward us by elevating our rank in heaven.

Allah *the All-Merciful, the Ever-merciful* says in another verse:

"Certainly, We shall test you with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits; but give glad tidings to the patient - those who, when afflicted with calamity say, "Truly to Allah we belong, and truly to Him shall we return." it is those who will be awarded blessings and mercy from their Lord; and it is those who are the guided ones." [2:155-157]

And the prophet *peace and blessing be upon him* said: (Indeed amazing are the affairs of a believer ! They are all for his benefit; If he is granted ease of living he is thankful; and this is best for him. And if he is afflicted with a hardship, he perseveres; and this is best for him.)

Where does my soul go while sleeping?

Allah says in chapter 24 verse 42 :

''God gathers up the souls of those who die, and of those who do not die, in their sleep; then He keeps back those ordained for death, and sends the others back for an appointed term. Surely there are signs in this for those who reflect''

Clearly Allah sees in this verse something worth thinking about. When we're a sleep we're dead already but temporary. We might not wake up, that's when Allah decides to keep our souls and not send it back to us. That tells something, we DIE every day. EVERY single day. Surely there's a sign in this for those who reflect.

The question is:

How ready are we to die?

How ready are we to face our God?
This verse scares me every time I read it.. Who knows?!!.. Maybe tonight is my night.. what have I done so far? How many suras did I study..we're not talking about memorizing because knowing the meaning of the verses is much much more important…after that you think about memorizing them..

Hey!! One more interesting thought this verse strongly provokes.. Whether your creator decides to let go of your soul or keep it.. He has got it every night in his grasp.
Yes, it's scary to think about the death part..but there this amazingly sweet sensation coming over me..when I think that my soul that's inside my flesh right now was in his hands just before I woke up… those very hands that he {Glorified be He, the Most High} used when creating the first prophet and the first human being Adam {peace be upon him}.

Can you imagine??

what an honor…what a wonderful wonderful notion..

It's AMAZING..

I wouldn't have realized this fact.. if I hadn't given it a deep thought..

*Allah is the most merciful…he's been giving us this chance over and over..every night..a chance for us to reflect…to think..TO TAKE HEED*

MAY WE TAKE HEED????
