Is it the outcome of your own research?? .. or is it a cultural thing ''I saw my parents doing it so i did it. . I'm muslim because i was born so... it's the religion of my forfathers''.
If your case is cultural, then quick, panic! study the quran, find out why this restless, fierce attacks on Islam and Muslim, why? Do you have the yaqin that your religion is the true religion, if yes then can you prove it?
Shame on us, almost no one cares. ..
at least where i live.. i see people claim to be Muslims and have not the least interest what Allah think about what they do. They do things.. not stopping for a second and think... oh wait.. is this haram or halal?.. some of things are PurE haram..they know already that it is actually haram.. but they don't want to care about it...
is it haram or halal. . not a big thing in thier life.. not really something that's worth thinking about.. no.. but hey!.. let's take a look at things like hmmm.. let's see.. ''money'' ...
the famous game of ''what if you won a million dollar''..explains it all...what ifs? it's all dunya in the end.. they scarecely think about other things.. like '' the hearafter'' .. oh please.. you're such a fun spoiler.. shut up.. and go to your room.
They live thier life according to their own rules..''desires'' oh my!!'

I bear witness that no one can come up with words that are so powerful, words that are so beauifully expressed but Allah and i bear witness that Mohammed is his messenger.

Surat al-Anfal..
( Indeed the believers are those whose hearts quake at the mention of Allah, and when His verses are recited to them it increased them in faith. They are those who put their trust in their Lord. (2) Those who pray steadfastly, and spend of that which We have provided them, (3) those are, in truth, the believers. They shall have degrees with their Lord and forgiveness, and a generous provision. (4))

Muslims today
Take a close look at this verse..and really try to reflect on it...for I'm trying to do the same thing:
First we have ayah no. 110 in surat al-Nahl (The bees):
(109) Those who left their homes for the cause of God after they had been persecuted, strove hard for His cause and exercised patience should know (even though they had verbally renounced their faith) that your Lord is All-forgiving and All-merciful. (110)
I'm thinking ...can we say that this ayah also applies to the conditions of Muslims today?.. I think the war on us ''Muslims''..have reached its peak.. and we sorrowfully see muslims everywhere...that have nothing to do with islam but its name..Muslims that are not so proud of it..Muslims that are no longer proud of being Muslims..therefor they find ease in hiding it..well!!! :(
Yes..it's not about what non-muslims are thinking of us anymore.. Our concern should be focused on those of us who are being misleaded-preplexed and somewhat unsure about thier dean.
They think''maybe Islam is not the real religion''...Maybe my parents are not right after all..why should i follow them..and thier religion...have I not got a brain to think...hmmm...''
Sigh! Here I find myself..remembering the first five verses of surat al-Baqara...what does Allah go to say ?
((AlifLaamMeem. (1) That is the (Holy) Book, where there is no doubt. It is a guidance for the cautious (of evil and Hell). (2) Who believe in the unseen and establish the (daily) prayer; who spend out of what We have provided them. (3) Who believe in that which has been sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad) and what has been sent down before you (to Prophets Jesus and Moses) and firmly believe in the Everlasting Life. (4) These are guided by their Lord; these surely are the prosperous. (5) ))
Well..back to those who have doubts about whether or not this religon is true..at this point it might be fresh start of a new REAL muslim..if he really seeks the truth...
Allah will definitely guide him to the right path..
And on the other hand it might become yet another sorry case ''Ex-muslim who's become Christian or Athiest''
Well, as i said before those sad sad people before they decide to reject Islam...they never attempted to open the Quran and try honestly to understand what Allah is trying to tell them...they never tried honestly..from the bottom of their hearts to build this relationship with the quraan...they don't care in the first place...they're following thier own desires..they're following the footsteps of satan..
How do I know?
(105) Whosever disbelieves in Allah after believing except he who is forced while his heart remains in his belief but he who opens his chest for disbelief, shall receive the Anger of Allah and for such awaits a mighty punishment. (106) That is because they loved this present life above the Everlasting Life. Allah does not guide the unbelievers. (107) They are those whose hearts, hearing and sight are sealed by Allah; they are the heedless. (108) In the Everlasting Life, they shall assuredly be the losers. (109) surat al-Nahl
(45) He who does good does it for himself; and he who does evil does so against it. Your Lord never wrongs His worshipers.(46)

It's that simple! Allah doesn't need them, THEY do..
True Muslims and believers today..are facing the biggest fitan ..and yet they stay firm on the dean...they stick to Quraan and Sunna..DEFEND Allah and his prophet peace and blessingbe upon him)..out of piety ''taqwa''..out of love..out of respect..out of faithfulness..out of gratitude..for being guided..and strove hard for his cause..and show GREAT patience..they should know (even though they had verbally renounced their faith) that the Lord is All-forgiving and All-merciful.
:) Allah loves them back..
It's the *Salah* that makes us who we are...
SURELY ..
.. If we're miserable it's because of something we lack in salah..

Humble?
(الَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم مُّلَاقُو رَبِّهِمْ وَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
{who know with certainty that they shall meet their Sustainer and that unto Him they shall return}
Okay...That fact is hardly ever even cross my mind... and the reason for that is it's so filled with my own concerns..so filled that theresn't much space left for any other kind of problems ... ..
Regardless of how important particular issue or a message may be, I don't give it much thought...as long as it's not a life problem...then it doesn't come first
I always think....
let me get to the bottom of the ones I have in hands.. especially the ones concerning my personality.. the change I always seek..
**I confess that all my life...I haven't properly prayed my salah..The moment I say: ALLAH AKBAR...I think about EVERYthing I haven't thought of all week but this moment.. it's shaytan..we know that...
**I confess that I never cried.. in my salah.. i haven't cried in my sujood..
**I have to confess.. that to me salah is a burden that i force myself to carry out. What's wrong with me?! There... i got myself a good reason to worry about... hopefully cry some guilty tears..
Ok ..here's a good tip:
while in sujood i will do my best to think about my worst nightmare..Facing god *leaving dunia* ..without having performed one decent salah...
Another scary thought: I'm not close to Allah.. that's why I can't taste any sweetness in my salah...like the sahaba did *may Allah be pleased with them*.. they used to miss it...ADORE it...
IF the salah is lacking...everything esle will be lacking...then I become nothing..
Just then.. only Allah's mercy will stand between me and the hell fire...
IF tears still don't flow down my cheeks.. then I had no choice but to ask it directly from Allah:
WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME, O ALLAH?
Whatever been holding those tears back?? could it be my sins .. HAS TO BE
